Why does my iPhone won’t call out?

I recently encountered an issue where my iPhone won’t call out, and it’s been incredibly frustrating. Whenever I try to make a call, the call fails or doesn’t connect at all. I’ve checked my signal strength and everything seems fine. Sometimes, the call screen just freezes, and other times, it seems like the call goes through, but I hear nothing on the other end. I’ve restarted my phone multiple times, but the problem persists. My iPhone is up to date with the latest software, and I haven’t experienced this issue before. I’m not sure if it’s related to my network carrier or if there’s something wrong with the phone itself. Any insights on what could be causing this problem would be really helpful.

Have you checked if your phone is in Airplane Mode? It’s easy to accidentally switch this on, which cuts off all cellular functions. Simply access the control center by swiping up or down on your screen, and ensure that Airplane Mode is turned off. Also, make sure that Do Not Disturb mode isn’t enabled by navigating to Settings > Do Not Disturb.

Third-party applications can sometimes interfere with iPhone calling functions. Uninstall any app you recently downloaded around the time this issue began. Navigate to Settings > General > iPhone Storage, select the relevant app, and tap ‘Delete App’. Restart your iPhone and check if you can make calls now.

Sometimes it’s an issue with your cellular plan. I had a similar experience, and after contacting my network provider, we discovered an account-related problem. You might want to call your provider and make sure your account is in good standing, without any restrictions or outages affecting your service.
