I had a similar issue and what worked for me was to perform the entire process in a clean boot environment. This helps in eliminating software conflicts that occur when you install a program or update or when you run a program in Windows. To perform a clean boot:
1. Click ‘Start,’ type msconfig in the search box, and press ‘Enter.’
2. In the System Configuration Utility, click the ‘Selective startup’ option on the ‘General’ tab.
3. Uncheck the ‘Load startup items’ checkbox.
4. Click the ‘Services’ tab, select the ‘Hide all Microsoft services’ checkbox, and click ‘Disable all.’
5. Click ‘Apply’ and then ‘OK.’ Restart your computer and try running Odin mode again. You can reset the computer to the normal startup mode after troubleshooting.
